The book is a must for todays would be parents, especially the mom. Helps to understand the whole gamut of changes, physical & emotional, that occur during pregnancy. With the increasing absence of experienced elders in todays nuclear families this book holds your hand while you walk through those nine months.
Except for a few situations that are very specific since the book is written by a US author for a US audience, the book is very relevant.
Gives very practical advice on how to deal with symptoms, when to be concerned about something, what to do when somethings not all right etc... The section for the would be fathers is also very useful... something Ive not seen in other books.
A good present for your spouse when youre planning a baby or get ot know that youre gonna be parents :-) Would also recommend the two sequels to this book.. The First Year and The Toddler years (by the same author).
