I am pretty happy with the performance of this semi-automatic washing
machine. It is giving me better results than other machines that my
friends and neighbors own. But then, I am not sure how they use their
machine, how long they operate it, etc so these factors vary. It seems
to be way too delicate. It is very noisy too. Even before a few months
of operation, some gear has loosened and it makes a constant "tak tak
tak" noise whenever its in operation. The worst part is their after
sales service. My machine is well within their warranty, and the fault
does not lie with the parts not covered in the warranty (eg the dials).
I spent over Rs 100 calling them again and again asking them to send a
service personnel to my place. The call center ladies are hopeless,
they would just say "we will send a person to repair the machine
today/tomorrow/etc". They sent one after 3 weeks. He was rather
uncooperative and rude, even though they were 2 weeks late (considering
1 week as normal response time, even though the company claims fast
service). He was not willing to accept that the motor noise
(tak-tak-tak.... ) is an issue. He said that all machines make such
noise, this noise is normal and that even new machines make the same
noise, even though I told him that the machine started making such
noises 3 weeks ago.
He went away without doing any repairs. So much for
the 2 years warranty !! Anyway, I am planning to use this machine for
as long as it just works (with the defective motor / gear) , sell it
for scrap as soon as it breaks down, and get another brand. The machine
also does not have any proper stand and the small plastic wheels are
very prone to breakage. In contrast, LG and Samsung machines do provide
a sturdy stand.
