Was a moment of sheer happiness when I finally booked this phone after getting unsuccessful at 3 flash sales, and the happiness just doubled when I took it out of the packaging,
Pros:
The uni-body metal chassis with rounded corners feels outstanding in the hand, the mass feels just right. Even though it packs in that excellent 5.5" display, the phone actually feels good to hold, thanks to thin bezels on the right and left of the display. The USP, however, is the humongous 4000mAh powerhouse which powers this beast, with some industry-leading battery backup. I am a hardcore user of my phone and still, the phone gives an outstanding 9 hours of screen on time with WiFi and BluetoothOn all the time! MIUI, their skin on top of android, has all the right features and optimizations.
I have used Xiaomi products in the past, and I loved each of them, so I had high hopes for this one; and I am happy to report that this thing fulfils them all. Be it performance, or day-to-day use, or heavy gaming, or battery standby time, or build quality.
But nothing is perfect, neither this phone. Some Cons:
The Hybrid Sim tray
The Camera(Lot more than what you pay for, but still, less impressive than the competition)
Thats about it. Definitely recommended for those who have a budget of~15000 INR. This phone is the new benchmark in the sub-15000 category, and it even outperforms many devices that cost twice as much.
