About the phone:
Xiaomi redmi note 3 is a 4g VoLTE enabled phone, with some decent features that usually phones with high prices provides. The phone has a 5.5inch led screen, 13 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera, which is quite decent for a 4g phone under Rs10, 000. The phone has an internal storage of 16gb out which you only get around 11 gb free, but on first bott we can use only around 5-6gb space for storing apps and games. It doesnt have an option to move apps to sd card, so I recommend the 32gb variant. The following review is based on my own experience for past one year.
Camera quality:
The quality of the camera is pretty good, although for a 13megapixel camera it could have been much better, is u compare it to samsung. The low lighting pictures are only average. But the front camera compensates for it. It has an autofocus mode and many other special modes like panorma, fish eye, etc.
Build:
Build of thus phone is ok-ish, it is slightly curved on the back which increases its grip and weighs somewhere around 150 grams only. Also it doesnt have a removable battery so u have to insert a sim card or memory card in the tray at the side of the phone. The phone’s back surface is quite smooth so it can slip out of your hand and I advice you to use a back cover for the phone.
Connectivity:
This phine has 4.0 bluetooth, 4g VoLTE enabled, with hybrid sim slot, i.e. you can use two sim cards or use one sim card and a memory card in the tray. It has wifi, hotspot and all the othe basic features.
Battery:
This phones has a 4100mah battery which can easily last for almost 2 days on wifi with medium use. But with heavy gaming on wifi, the phone can last upto 8 hrs. It takes time to charge as it doesnt have fast chaging option, from 0-100% it can easily take 2-3hrs.
Gaming:
Gaming experience in this phone is amazing as it can run almost every game on play store including games like Modern Combat 5, asphalt 8, etc.can be played on it without any lag and in HD graphics. Although the phone heats up a little bit, but not too much.
Android:
This phone has an android version 5.1 installed as default, but recently xiaomi has blessed us with android 6.0 update for redmi note 3 and maybe android 7.0 too in the future.
Ease of using:
It is not quite easy to use this phone’s UI but after 3 months of use you will get used to it because it is different from any average phone’s UI.
Performance:
The Processing speed of this phone is awesome. It is packed with 1.8ghz hexa core, which can make it compete with computers. It also has xiaomi’s latest MIUI 8.1.
USB otg support:
Yes, this phone support us otg too.
It has been around 8 months since I have been using this phone, and has lagged once when I was playing moder combat 5 on 4g for 2 second. Although I recommed others to go for the 32 gb variant, if u need huge storage for games like me.
