Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Hello Friends,

I bought this phone from flipkart in flash sale just 5 days back as it is not available in mobile stores, and got my hands on it yesterday morning. I researched a lot about this purchase as my expectations were too high and demanding after using Sony Xperia Z1 for almost 2.5 years. I zeroed on 2 phones in the below 15K category, one is Moto G4 plus and the other is Xiaomi Redmi Note3 32 Gb.The main reason for selecting redmi is the price gap of Rs.3k between the two. From the very first look, it impressed me with its good build quality and metal frame. it looks pretty satisfying and premium in this price slab of Rs. 12k. But nothing is perfect, so it too comes with cons. Before writing pros and cons, main features of this mobile are as follows(as stated on mobile box):-

CPU:- Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa core 1.8 ghz

display:- 5.5 inch full hd ips display

camera:- 16MP rear camera with PDAF, 5 MP frnt Camera

Battery:- 4050 mAh

RAM:- 3 Gb

ROM:- 32 Gb

OS:- MIUI(Android - based OS)

Dual Sim & Dual Standby

4G, LTE supported

Now I am sharing its pros and cons only after using it 2 days. it might be too earlyto write and pros & cons may change in future after further use.

Pros:-

1. Premium metal design, with amazing attention to details with chrome embellishments in front and around finger print scanner.

2. Very good display with vivid colors, and wide viewing angles.

3. Top-level, power packed  performance with best-in-class hardware with huge Ram & Rom.

4. MIUI is one of the better interfaces built over Android, and has a lot of useful functionality, but is still simple to use. Its specially developed for Xiaomi phones

5. Excellent battery life - this phone is an absolute road-runner. Once fully charged runs, it almost 24 hours on normal usage.

6.  Excellent, Fast responsive fingerprint scanner just like high end Smartphones.

1. Good call quality.

2. Brilliant in-hand feel, with edges that curve perfectly.

3. Competitively Priced for almost same features loaded mobile.

Cons:-

1. No Corning Gorilla glass for display protection.

2. Can’t use dual Sim at once if SD card is inserted.

3. Display is not too impressive in sunlight.

4. It doesn’t come with fast charger, headphones etc.

5. Heating while charging but not a big issue.

6. Camera is decent but could have been better.

Final Verdict a Must purchase in 12k price band with all these features.
