This is Rajeev from Delhi & I am here to share my experiences with u people.I am a proud Fazer owner for past one year.Earlier I was planning to buy a pulasr , I even booked a pulsar.though I liked the Fazer’s engine but I hated its bug eyed front light with a divider.I booked a pulsar on 7th aug. & the new fazer was launched on 8th aug. 05.my dad liked it & when I saw it on his recommendation I simply loved it & thats how I bought it.At that time it was the most expensive 125 cc in india costing me Rs.51700/- on road, New Delhi.Now it seems that all I spent on this bike is worth.
Fazer is 10.8 BHp bike but seems better than any of its competitors.its tried & tested that a fazer is the traffic header after every traffic signal.Rated as the most comfortable bike for both the rider & the pillion by Overdrive.also rated as the best handling bike in india by Overdrive.Really it has a very responsive engine.excellent pick up now comes with great braking.i have the most advanced version which comes with a disc & electric start.was advertised by John.The best part of the bike is its comfort, pick up, handling & performance.The mileage was around 52-57 in the city.
The bike looks bigger & the build quality is superb.paint job is far superior as compared to competition.switch gear is signature Yamaha.Quality of parts is very good including the plastic parts.
Now lets start with the problems...Everything is never complete so even Fazer has some cons.A little Weak Front Suspension & Sometimes......I mean sometimes it cries for the 5th gear.But yes let me tell u if u pull it till the last breath on every gear it can screw the competitor.Its tried & tested by me myself.
At last what I can say is that its a great bike with all the features u need but needs some improvement with the front suspension.engine is refined, resposive & quick but sometimes needs a 5th cog.Will advise Yamaha to expand its service network to automated service stations & train all the technicians to the core so that they don’t lose on customer service.
i said this because yamaha has a problem with its technicians.they should be trained in a proper manner & should have all the necessary machines to perform their task up to the mark.
As far as Fazer is concerened it is Very good performer & above the level of satisfaction.excellent gearbox & smooth chainset add to good experience.This one for sure is a long termer.
Also now I have modified it myself to give my darling Fazer a birthday gift.I purchased new alloys for it & also got new tyres fitted to it.it has already done 24000 kms. & still as smooth as new.
