@ ajay11111: As far as my knowledge goes, Kaff is the best brand but Cata is not a bad brand either. It is very old in India & is a very good brand, but before you buy any brand you need to check that if U have their service centre in your city or not. & usually, Chimneys demand very less mainatinan read more...
@ polini: For your Hob a 60cm chimney with a good suction power above 750 M3/h would be fine, but if possible, go for a 90cm chimney with a suction power of 600m3/h to 750 m3/h as it will cover your hob completely, hence providing a better feedback. I have no idea about prestige chimneys. Nowadays, read more...
Elica is a good brand but i don't know much about their customer service.. plz check the service centre list in your city before you buy one..
Don't know much IFB in this category although its an excellent brand in tems of Front Loading Machines, Microwaves & Dishwashers. Please check the service in your area before u buy any product.
@ aravind248: Bro, I never said Kaff is an Italian Brand but I have written that its mostly Italian made as was claimed by them at the time when this review was written & was also written on the box. As far as the Brand is concerened i never did research on the Brand, my research was limited to thei read more...
@ biniparekh: Kaff as a brand is anytime better than Kutchina which is relatively a new brand. & secondly whatever they say all the chimneys work well its only the after sales service which matters & in this case, as per my opinion, Kaff wins the race by a huge margin.. :)
@ dreams1232: In my view aluminium filter is better than baffle filter because it can be easily cleaned & easier to maintain. Secondly, as per my experience the after sales service of Kaff is better than Faber but do check it before you buy the machine for urself. :)
@ ssweetie81: Ms. kappor, I Cannot say much about auto clean chimneys as the manufacturer's haven't explained anthing about this technology on their website but as far as I have understood, These chimneys might have some sort of storage place where they'll store all the oil & dirt which comes from y read more...

@ pavanvishal: Sorry for my late reply. If there are 2 bends then any chimney of less than 650 M3/h will work well but I think Chennai is a humid place I would rather sugget you to go for a chimney with the suction power between 650 to 750 M3/h... Brand is on you to decide. I don't favour nay brand read more...
@ anand66: Yes they'll work good but better if you could get a chimney of around 1250 - 1500 m3/h because that will work in the best way... your kitchen size is fine but the duct distance & bends are higher so I would suggest you find a chimney between 1250 - 1500 M3/h... & remember, do check the se read more...
@ Oceanoflove: Kaff Opec60 is a nice choice... glass isn't that difficult to maintain because its toughened glass.. regular cleaning is all you need... don't know much about the price but i've heard that in WB you get things for a higher price.. you can try & bargain the price as much as you can & i read more...
@shekar_1981: Hey Shekar, I would suggest you to take a chimney of the same size as your hob. The smaller one would work but it will leave something to be desired as it will not be able to cover the complete hob... regards Rajeev
@aryasubhash: Mr. Arya, I would suggest you go for a chimney with 400 m3/h - 500 m3/h. I am sure there must be some space for the duct to go out because that is very much necessary. If there are 2 bends then upto 650 m3/h chimney will work & if there are three bends then it needs a chimney of more t read more...
@ vinkram : Regular gas top is far far better...
@sunsparx: Distance also matters but how big can a kitchen be ;-p ... tell me ur kitchen size & Type (Open or Closed) & bends.... I'll let u know about the right suction for ur kitchen.....
@sunsparx: yes the bends do matter but 1 to 2 bends are normal in indian kitchens... A 500 m3/h chimney will work well with 1 bend & average with second.... Anything above 750 m3/h will work well with 2 bends.... no idea about the Filterless technology.... Will check with my friends & then comment o read more...
@bookworm77 : Yes u r absolutely correct... normal burners are very good for indian cooking compared to nice looking hob burners... They also consume less LPG as compared to hobs... go ahead & buy yourself a nice looking cooktop with indian burners... :)

@Hunting001 & amit81 : The only thing to cosider here is After Sales Service Experience. I never recommend a Faber jsut because of its bad customer service which i experienced during my tenure with the industry.
