6th day on new R-15 2.0

51.67 Kms/Ltr? Can I believe the calculations? I checked it 3 times  and came up with the same answer. 385 Kms, 7.45 lltrs. Do the math guys -  This is what my first fill on this bike gave me. Agreed I am traveling  at 60kms/hour at max during the initial running in, but factor in the  obvious that the engine is brand new, and that I am still getting used  to the gears etc, as well as usually a new vehicle begins to give better  mileage only after the 2nd service, then the average I just got is  stupendous.

Besides that - still amazed at how good the engine response is, and how AWESOME the bike looks. A few other feedbacks.

-  Seat is hard, my bums are grazed and beaten up because of the riding  position and the hard seat - will need to get some cushioning done for  actually both the seats - rider as well as pillion(even the pillion  complains about roughened bottoms).

  • The palms are feeling better - am getting used to it and am finding ways to avoid the forward stance impact on them.

  • The gears are now clicking less noisily into place - probably as a result of better handling on my part:-)

  • Am getting used to the 6 gears and have a better understanding with the bike as to what gear I am in.

  • The rear wheel brakes are not confidence building - a little slow on the braking - maybe an adjustment needed at 1st service?

-  The front wheel brakes are amazing - maybe even a bit too much - again,  probably need to just get used to using them in the correct manner.

-  have used the bike constantly on high beam - which is both lights on.  the "low beam’ is bullshit. It comes on as iif it were candle light.  Wish both lights could be on in low and high beam modes like other bikes  that have single headlights.

  • Neutral has been a little difficult to find at times - will get used to finding it easier soon I hope:-)

All  in all still an amazing experience to be on it. I look for excuses to  get on it and ride - even for long distances. Considering my other  vehicle is a comfortable Scorpio, it seems ridiculous. But pitting the  freedom and fantastic feel of a bike against that of an SUV is stupid  yet interesting to note the choice made in the end.

Will update latter - soon I am sure. can’t get enough of the bike:-)
