Tried to do a booking through Expedia.co.in for Lemontree hotel in Goa for 3 days, 4 nights. Got a deal of around Rs. 12, 300 for 3 nights. I almost did the booking, but God intervened, and my card got declined. I then called them up on their call center to do a booking by phone. The agent told me that they offer the best deal ever, and if any other vendor is offering lower, they will match it and also give some vouchers.
Now. When the agent said that, I thought, why not check out some other sites. I went to Yatra.com and lo-and-behold, in Yatra, the 3rd night was free, plus I got a discount voucher of Rs. 500. So my total cost in Yatra came to Rs. 9, 300. A saving of almost Rs. 3000! Too good to be true, isin’t it!
I straightaway disconnected the call with the Expedia agent and booked the deal on Yatra. I even got my hotel voucher in a few minutes.
Just based on the above experience, I would say Yatra.com is WONDERFUL!
