Noticed one thing in this camera... Compared to Canon, the default image is a bit soft. Though nothing major, it can be corrected easily in Photoshop or some other editing software. Flash is good. Quite powerful going by point & shoot standards. Good for fill in and general usage. In all built-in flashes, the range limit is around 10-15 feet. So expecting anything beyond that would be wrong.
These days most cameras will give you very good results. In fact is difficult for the big manufacturers to make a camera which will actually give you bad photos... :-) Sony is a pretty good player in the digicam market though it is not exactly in the league of Canon, Panasonic and Nikon yet.
