I was born and brought up in Mumbai and then moved to the US to do my MBA, following which I decided to stay on and work for a while on Wall Street. Currently doing the whole i-banking thing. I'm in cross-border debt capital markets which is actually pretty interesting, the only downside is that I have to travel way too much! I've travelled pretty much all over North America and Western Europe (mostly on work) and all over Asia (entirely for fun!) And my family and lots of friends are still in Mumbai so I also constantly do the long haul travel between Manhattan (my current home) and Mumbai (my permanent home and the city still dearest to my heart!) Am pretty opiniated by nature (you sort of have to be in my profession) and express my opinions straight up with no b.s. (who has the time for that?) What you see with me is what you get. I like Mouthshut as it gives us a forum to express real-time, real-life opinions. Happy reading!. Yoga, music, tennis (both as a player and spectator), indie and art-house movies, and the theater. Broadway, Shakespeare in the Park, etc. are all favorites. Other interests (more like bad habits) include chocolate (preferably Godiva), shoe shopping, bag shopping and spa treatments (hey, a girl has to have some fun!)

Read my comment carefully. I said the Bold costs $580 in the US UNLOCKED. That means you buy it already unlocked from AT&T. Once unlocked, always unlocked so what's the problem? And the unit is quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 meaning it works round the world (India is on GSM 900) and RIM always Read More...
The supplier doesn't know what he's talking about. The RIM manual clearly says the Bold supports up to a 32GB MicroSD card. I myself bought a 16GB MicroSD card about 6 months back (the max available to date) and have been using it in the Bold with NO problems. I have over 1,000 songs on it, plus abo Read More...
NarayanRS: Sorry, I don't agree with your comment. I agree with you that Civic has more cutting-edge and flashy styling. However, if you look at all other categories, I think Altis is a winner. For me, it's not just about looks, but it's also about performance, ride quality and the interiors. What's Read More...
Price-wise, the Bold goes for $300 in the US with a 2-year contract. It's $580 if you want to buy it unlocked. Not sure about prices in India.

Nice review. I had looked closely at the E71 before finally purchasing the Blackberry Bold 9000. One thing I disagree with you on is that the Blackberry appears plasticky and has a sub-par screen. The Bold is really well made and has a gorgeous half-VGA hi-res screen. It's even better than the iPhon Read More...
Pricing wise, the Bold costs $300 with AT&T (you have to sign up for a 2-year contract) and $580 unlocked (no contract required). In terms of unique features, I would say the screen - I have never seen such a beautiful hi-res screen on any other portable device. I thought the iPhone screen was good, Read More...
Dude, you need to read my review carefully. I clearly mentioned that the set-up experience was ghastly. Very unfortunate experience. However, I'd like to point out something. When your parents were flying into the UK, they were flying Hong Kong-London-Manchester. The London-Manchester leg is therefore considered domestic (within the UK). I don't know the specific UK regulations but most countries arou Read More...

Your review is not useful to anyone. There's no info on how the seats were, how the food was, how the punctuality was, etc. Just a lot of irrelevant stuff about how you got good booze and female company!

alk_ranjan, since you say you already know that many brands including Toyota are great cars, I wonder why you are bothering to read Kapil's review? ClarenceB, your comment is way out of line. Brokergal was just recounting her own experience, same as you and anyone else on this forum. Just curious about one thing - when the lady at the check-in counter motioned to you to go to the lounge, why didn't you ask her where it was? On a recent KF flight within India, we were flying KF First and made it a point to ask them where the lounge was in Mumbai airport as we didn't know. After a Read More...

For what you paid, I think you got a pretty good deal. On a recent trip to India, I flew Mumbai-Delhi roundtrip (a shorter distance than Chennai-Delhi) on Kingfisher and the cost was Rs.13k per head. Since you paid that but for two passengers on JetLite, it seems like a good deal. Being an LCC, the Read More...
