I'm Surojit, happily married to a wonderful person named Paromita. I passed out electrical engg. from Pantnagar in 1992, and worked for Siemens. I'm now into telecom software dev. I loved Bangalore / Pune, and would have loved to settle down in either of the two places. But due to family reasons and the concern for our little one, we returned to Kolkata , our home, last year (May'07) . Times have now changed. We have big responsibilities to fulfill. Even sundays are business as usual for us. Little Debu does mischief, and we have to run after him....:) . Reading , driving long distances with my Wag R. Exchanging thoughts and ideas with like minded people. Love to surf the net for sites with info on railways, locos, aircrafts and high speed transit systems.

Lets take it this way. Yes, Blabla is a waste. Think of you being in the shoes of a blabla driver... you have cancelled your journey for some reason. So use blabla ONLY for travelling to work.

I always knew it was bullshit. If you have part timers as cabbies, you ought to run it as a cab business. You need to have bla bla car stands demarcated on GPS apps, where you wait for bla bla. There should be security in India for the women. And a bla bla volunteer should report performance data as read more...

Really useful. I rate HSBC at an overall 8/10. It has an excellent infra and growth opportunities. You work under the guidance of European managers, who are knowledgeable and straight forward. Excellent company culture.

Great work, but didnot find 2, 5 and 6 much practical. Using threads where you envisage , it can provide you with a performance edge , calls for a thread oriented review of the design, first. This is excellent work. I find this review very absorbing. And yes, experience brings everything into one's work. What you think of today as good, may become drab old and useless tommorrow, since you learnt something new and better. So well said. cheerz Surojit, HSDI - Pune

The first truly international car that India had after years of rule by the grandma's (amby and premier). All Maruti models are cool. Abt the review- It's short and sweet as u said. Cheeeeerzz
That's what the society is shifting toward....kya kool hai hum. Call center culture is the first to embrace these new trends in fashion. Arnab, Great job done by you. I appreciate your effort completely. Does transmission play a role too in making a choice between petrol and diesel? Diesel is indeed powerful. But in most cases where diesel is most optimally deployed in terms of cost-benefit, are locomotives. If you observe, diesel read more...

I have my good old Nokia 2100 and recently bought a j200i. It doesnot catch the service, even though the nokia does, under the same conditions. Poor stuff Sony. You cannot sell crap in India anymore, we are no longer the same.
I see your point, but at the same time, felt you wanted to convey the fact that if I bought the 2006 model, it would be a lot better, hopefully. Amounts of the order of 4-5lakhs are not for experimentations, right? Neither do u want to be a guineapig (as my boss at Siemens used to say). Tata is a go read more...
