Review:

I org bought this jewelry item at a dubious english chinese store front site, that wouldn't let me simply review it ( https://www.sammydress.com):

Let me start by the explicit summarized statement that this is a good dual watch (white dial). I had seen others with the same internal mechanism but with different cases and obv rebranding; yet I don't know who the OEM is. This comes labeled accurately as stated on the product description. It also says (on the back) that's water resistant up to 30m; but I wouldn't bet on it. It barely seems fortunate enough to withstand a simple bath/shower. The only truly stainless steel parts appear to be the back and the bezel's tachymeter-like dial. Frame feels hollow and too lightweight (to be made of actual steel); but's definitely some sort of sim metal (alloy). What matters (to me, at least) is that it doesn't scratch easily; and hopefully it'll last a good couple of years.

The bracelet's like links seemed to be fixed in place, and hence I couldn't adjust them for a proper fit. The folding lock mechanism does has the standard spring pins; but taking it out doesn't adjust anything, unless you plan to replace it for a shorter one. Besides I like that retractable flapping wings on its side that reopen it. I have a large wrist (8") and still it'll be too loose; but barely. So beware, this is a "manly" wristwatch; and hence it weights accordingly... 1/4 of a pound! But you'll get used to, though.

The most useful of the aux functions is the 12 o'clock wheel that displays the day of the week; long followed by the almost unnecessary 9 one, which is an alt second and fractional count (for the chronometer); and the sigher 6 one which is the most useless one, it merely shows a couple of flags. The toggle state of date (as if pressing the button and having the time changed to date wasn't clearly enough), and the state of the alarm (on/off). Also, the time and date disp at 3 o'clock is a bit large, and seems a little out of place with the rest; being square like and all that. Sadly the "tachymeter dial" is only decorative; when at least; it could've been easily used for a 2nd hour zone setting. This was a disappointment since it was important to me that all of the featured functions were actually functional, and not just for decor. Time systems are independent; and furthermore; the analog time keeping runs a little slower than the digital one (which is obv more precise, or maybe is the other way around). And there also was a little skewed rotational angle on either the white cover disp or the analog hands (or both); that made seconds stops fall in between markings. The analog disp could have used a little more fluorescent paint too; because it gets a little hard to see in the dark. So craftsmanship is not top notch, but something like that was to be expected; ironically. I seldomly read the analog display anyhow. Still, I really like the way it looks (I bought the one with the white cover;) And it's a good enough reason on it's own.

There was no manual; not that there's needed; just it'd have been a nice touch. It did came with tags and a protective screen showing it as new. Again; a proper small gift box would have been a nice touch. This is a good enough product, and I'd overall rate this as a good buy. Just wish it could've been slightly better; but I guess it's more than ok, for the price.
