ALL ur savings ?? that's tough....AFAIK , upto I lakh in bank deposits is guaranteed by GoI so it makes sense to park ur money in diff banks.

whenever i see and hear ppl praising Hitler , of all people , I feel like throwing up. Get a life ! Read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich if you want to really get the correct picture.

u r right , reading it again ( my review I mean ) , I realised that I haven't clearly spelt it out that Orwell was commissioned to study the miners conditions but it is true that he tried his best to blend with the miners so that he could realistically portray their conditions. had seen it a long time ago on DD...really watchable. If only more films were based on books by regional writers ...i am sure there are a lot of interesting stories in regional literature which can be made into films but of course it is a lot easier to copy paste from Hollyowod flicks...

the book is simplistic and over-rated...there is a lovely spoof which has come out recently with the above title... that said , your review was all too brief....you need to share your thoughts about why you did/didn't like the book.. cheers.

read a glowing review of this movie in the now defunct Gentleman ( pity , it was a class mag ) magazine under Top 50 Underrated Movies. will definitely watch this one if I get a chance.

no arguments about the others but Boogie..? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this on your list. Wake up , it is one of the better serials on air and it never fails to cheer me up.
