Hi Prabhakar I can not belive that a 1000 kg car with 1400 cc engine (Tata indigo CS petrol) giving same milage as a 600 kg car with 600 cc engine, some thing is wrong some where ( I am sure Nano engine is not so inefficient) Regards Pandey

why you need power steering in Nano? There is very less weight on front wheels as engine is mounted on the rear.

As told its power breaking system in your vehicle, if you press clutch (declutching disengages engine from rest of the systems) power is not being transferred to breaking system then how it will work? follow what is written by Sabualex - correct way of breaking

My recent experience: I travelled from Bangalore to Shirdi and back, a distance of about 2200 kms in five days the tour was very comfortable all credit to My Xeta. After returning when I calculated total amount spent from petrol receipts it came out to be Rs 3/- per km

I travelled from Bangalore to Shirdi and back in five days covering a distance of about 2200 kms with 268 kms in one stretch and 650 Kms as maximum one day driving in my Indica Xeta. Comfort and handling were very good, to my surprise the mileage which I got was about 17.5 kmpl (AC on 70%). I read more...

according to me charges are high, i too got oil changed in both services and cleaning also done, and charges were 900 and 1400. i get service done at prerana.
hi what for you were charged 2.5k, did you got some extra fitting done or was it normal as i feel 2.5k is too much for normal service. regards Pandey

Hi Tata cars have optimized power steering. as they are ment to be driven in city as well as high way. in high ways light PS is very dangerous. some cars have feature that PS changes to normal steering above 40 kmph. i am not sure if tata/hundai/suzuki have this feature. santro is a risky car o read more...

Hi i too suffered same thing, because i had never driven any car before xeta. when i gave my car to an experienced person he simply told there is no problem in your car, still i was not satisfied so went to service station, the engineer there also said same thing. still i kept insisting so he ad read more...

I fully agree with atul, my car is about 11 months old and i am fully satisfied. till date i have paid only for oil change. recently one of the indicator was not working as rats had cut some wiring, tata people did rewiring with out any charge. next Xeta is worth buying as it is comparable to swif read more...

Hi, i think xeta is a very good option for long trips, i have already done a karnataka trip of a round 1400 kms and am planning for bangalore - shirdi tour.

it is logical that xeta does not respond well while going from 100 to 130. actully it is designed like that. just check the torque/rpm curve. when one is driving at 100 the car is running at high rpm and at that rpm the torque value is not that great to give you a good accleration. now why it is d read more...

I drove 1400 kms in five days, roaming around part of karnataka, there were 7 people inside 4 adults and 3 kids and ofcourse lot of luggage. the area covered was mostly in western ghats viz. sheradi ghat ,dharmasthla, augumbe, sringeri and bhadra, so lots of hilly regions. belive me no car other tha read more...

Hi for just over 3 lakhs you get lots of torque at low rpm, must for city drive next best suspension, lots of space, very effective breaking and good safety. i own a xeta for last eight months and am fully satisfied. as for as cabin noise is concerned i dont think there is any, its a perfect q read more...

Hi Chimeraz buy xeta 1.4, thats a better car, better value for money, swift has lots of horse power but belive me none of us are going to use that power for this size of car any time in the life of the car. ride quality of xeta 1.4 is better than that of swift in city conditions.

Hi Shyam 1.2 is still better than other cars in this segment. i feel new Zen Estilo is good but there are other factors with it viz. 1) its a dumped car from suzuki. 2) cost is too high for nothing extra. 3) i have seen the car the size is very small. so the practicle choice is nothing but read more...

I feel when the engine rpm for max torque and maximum power have not changed the milage should increase by at least 1 km/l. but i doubt that 1200 cc is a good engine volume for a car close to 1000 kg of weight. so please while taking test drive switch on AC and try to drive with 5 peaple in the car read more...
