You will have a tough time getting the refund! I disconnected my connection in Sep 2008, then kept calling up the helpline. They kept saying 'you'll get your refund in 21 days, 45 days, what not'. I mailed the Nodal officer, then Appellate officer, then mailed them both and Cced the other. Kept call read more...

Please keep mailing the nodal and appellate officers and Cc each other. Keep calling them on their mobiles. I disconnected my connection in Sep 2008, and I had to follow them up like this for 9 months. Finally, last week (May third week), they sent my refund cheque of Rs.500.

Agreed, my fault in writing the cheque and leaving my bank balance insufficient. But I don't understand why does SCB take 7-8 days to present the cheque. Each month I drop the cheque, I get an SMS after 4-5 days 'your cheque has been collected, subject to realization'. It takes them 4-5 days just to read more...
