I own a Fiat Linea and have driven upto 170 kmph and no issues, regarding AC, I also had a similar problem but after changing the air filter inside the glove compartment, the Ac is very effective. You may consider this (cost of new filter element at Concorde was Rs 45.)!!

I can understand how you feel. I agree at BHP, the philosophy is a bit regimental. Do what I say and dont do what I do- type. Regarding selective filtering, I have no idea. Since you experienced it, you should be right.

T Jet has a ground clearance of 170 mm as against 160 mm of MJD and regular linea. So it is better than City and the old model Lineas. I just read a review of T Jet on this web site, where the owner had done 1650 km (from Navi Mumbai to Kochi). Worth reading.
