Summary In Brief: Hundoo Holidays are cheaters, as they charges full amount from you in advance and then doesn’t make full payment to actual service providers like hotels / Resorts and Taxi drivers or Travelers (taxi driver and travelers). This results to getting worst services from them and horrific tour experience as taxi drivers in lack of proper remuneration speak foul language and put your and your family life to perils. Beware it is very risky; we have to change the driver in middle of the tour to save our life.

Hotels:

Bellmount Resorts (Munnar): First of the entire name is misleading as it is not a resort but simple hotel with rooms and restruant and no other resort facilities.

Disappointed as

• Not a 3 / 4 star hotel as expected and promised to us.

  
  




• In spite of written in the booking voucher no welcome drink provided.

  
  




• Initially room allotted were not equal units (means to say one room is smaller than the other) in spite of our deluxe room bookings). Later on after request rooms are changed.

  
  




• Breakfast is normal, not great

  
  




• wi-fi internet facility not available in the rooms and just restricted to the lobby.

  
  

As relatively newly constructed hence rooms are decent and building in good shape with proximity to main market area. Our Rating out of 5 will be 2.5

Sandra Palace (Thekkady):

Disappointed as

• Not a 3 / 4 star hotel as expected and promised to us.

  
  




• Allotted room on first floor and there is no lift in the hotel.

  
  




• In spite of written in the booking voucher no welcome drink provided.

  
  




• Initially room allotted were not equal units (means to say one room is smaller than the other) inspite of our delux room bookings). Later on after request rooms are changed.

  
  




• wi-fi internet facility not available.

  
  




• There is pungent smell in the rooms as ventilation is not proper.

  
  

As relatively newly constructed hence rooms are decent and building in good shape with proximity to main market area. Breakfast was good as preparations are really good and give the favor of spices for which the Thedday is famous for. Our Rating out of 5 will be 2.5

Sagara Beach Resort (Kovalam):

It is proper resorts with all amenities and facilities. We are served with the welcome drink on arrival. We are expecting sea facing rooms but it was garden facing (little disappointment as staying in the beach resort and not having sea facing room is not at all a good deal). Same common problem that room allotted were not equal units (means to say one room is smaller than the other) and in spite of our request rooms are not changed as they have no other similar size large room.

Our Rating out of 5 will be 3

Houseboat (Allepey):

Hugely Disappointed:

This is worst houseboat we would have ever thought off to spend one whole night. We have a nightmare experience:

• Pest (Cockroaches) running on the floor in the bedroom.

  
  




• Severe allergic smell and fumes in the bedroom causing irritation in the eyes ( later on we find that house boat was painted a day before)

  
  




• Flush no working in the bathroom.

  
  




• It is a 7 - 8 years old houseboat which has lost its 4 start rating 4 year back (Based on the certificate hanging in the houseboat.

  
  




• No proper A/C, (A/C connection only in the night not throughout the day as there is no powerful generator in the boat)

  
  




• No cable connection (Only connection in night as no dish installed on the board)

  
  




• Boat is not properly insulated for mosquitoes and lizards.

  
  




• Food offered is not proper and we have to dine with Nestle Maggi.

  
  

Now, don't say that we are expecting too much as we have seen houseboat with all facilities like inbuilt generator to support A/c, dish to support TV, well covered and glass protection to avoid mosquitoes.

The only relief that we have in the boat is that it has a open roof deck where we can go to see open sky and backwater surroundings and forget rest of houseboat. Our Rating out of 5 will be 1.
