I understand the concept of showing a progressing India. It s a more urbanized and modernized version - they showed Bandra-Worli sea Link but forgot the local trains of Mumbai. They showed Qutub Minar in Delhi but forgot the METRO. And they completely forgot the slowly but significantly progressing rural India. Soul of India still is in the villages and traditional living of small cities. I wish they had shown some real Indian faces. I wish they had included the living legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Dr Abdul Kalam Azad. Or had featured people fishing, farming, teaching, IT, business icons, some village Sarpanches.

No Deepika, Aishwarya or Priyanka can ever match the smile of an ordinary Indian woman - urban or rural - building her life, participating in and contributing to the growing economy. That is the true "India Shining".
