Director Samir Karnik delivers up his newest funny venture “Char Din Ki Chandni” after after achieving great success from his last year’s fun movie ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’. But this time the movie comprise of a whole range of stars as compared to his earlier movies. The film, starring Tusshar Kapoor and Kulraj Randhawa in the lead role is set to release on Lohri next year.

Chaar Din Ki Chandni is a comedy laced with romance and is set against the backdrop of Rajasthan at a four-day wedding which makes it a complete family entertainer. Further, the title track of the 1989 release “Chandni” is another high point of the film, says Samir. “The idea of the song “O meri Chandni” came from the fact that the girl’s name in the movie is chandni”? It brings a sense of recall and fits the situation,” says the producer-director.

Kulraj Randhawa reminds of Preity Zinta with her dimpled smile and has a natural charm. Tusshar Kapoor lacks screen presence in first half but gains precedence in the second. But beyond the lead pair, the film clicks for its multitude of character artists. Anupam Kher and Om Puri are in their elements and induce the maximum laughs. For a change, Sushant Singh’s seen in a lighter role and plays his part well.

Samir Karnik’s last perform ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ was liked by Multiplex and Individual viewers. But out here now his primary concentrate is for Individual display and thus he has pressured some noisy and over the top performance in this film. Apart from the comic element, another highlight of the movie is Ajay Devgan’s voice over in the movie. Generally Ajay Devgan who rarely does any special appearances or voice overs, has done voice over for the second time in Samir Karnik’s movie.
