It was Hyderabad - Delhi IndiGo flight. A group of 15 Air Force staff are in the flight. I didn't understand why AF employees where in a flight different from Air India, thought of asking them out of curiosity but was silent.
Meanwhile the flight started and after few minutes, Air hostess' started serving the pre-booked meals and selling the items in the flight. An old man ordered meals. She smiled and took 15 packets and started giving it to the AF team. They wondered why and one of them asked if it is free to which she responded'Yes, we do surprise sometimes like this'. She came back to this old man and he paid for 15 people but she returned back money for one meal saying that's my contribution.
Until that point I was trying to see who this old man was but her words made me feel something else. Her eyes were lit up with satisfaction. I was waiting for the flight to reach Delhi and the moment it landed, while getting out I congratulated her and went to this old man. I spoke to him and before it might be too late, I took 300 from My pocket and gave him and told it's my contribution for the Noble cause. These were his words.'Being a student, your thinking of being a part of noble cause itself is noble. I would have taken that money, had you been working and that is your hard earned money. Since it's from your father, it's not good on my part to take money from your hand but am so very satisfied to sponsor people who are fighting for us and then find people who feel responsible.'
Those words were really inspirational and made me approach life in a different way since then.
