I too have experienced rear seat rattling noise. The maruti guy came home and hammered the rear seat joint, to no avail. On top of that there is a faint rattling noise from the seat belt holder. Got my Vxi delivered. Upgraded the tyres to 185/70/14 with Bridgestone Potenza GIII and alloys. This total change cost about 24k and is worth it. The FE of 8 is totally false. I have a Swift Vxi and getting 10.5 in City with 100% AC and 14 on highway. I find it hard to believe that the car is giving 8, as I know for sure that Esteem gives 12 kmpl. To compare a trash like Zing with Swift is totally biased on Hyundai's part. Do they think people are blind? Do they not know that even if the current engine in Swift is not the same European Engine, this Engine is still far more better than 1100 cc Santro Engine which has a meagre 60 bhp???

I think its impossible to expect 14/15 with AC in City. Since Swift inherits a highly modified Esteem Engine and is 100 kg heavier, thus to expect more than 10-12 in City with AC is unrealistic.
