For the newbie Mr. death_racer. I suggest sidney sheldon books are good to start with. The English used in his books is very good. Simple, Involving and paced. Once you've gained good confidence with story reading in books go for Baldacci ,Crichton and others.
I also have a feel the plot is basically flawed. The protagonist runs away mainly bcoz she has committed a murder at home However it was revealed to her at the last that it was not her and was wrongly convicted for a crime she has not done. It's stupid that the protagonist just not checks a read more...
I wished not to reveal the plot in my review. Anyways I'll just get onto some more details. The basic plot is the lottery system and the mysteries behind it. How one Mr. Jackson takes advantage of that system. I felt frustrated coz there were more pages about each character's feelings and thou read more...
