Dear CRPP, 1. Clutch, gear shift, etc. are very smooth requiring hardly any effort in the diesel Swift. 2. Though the petrol's max power is 12 bhp more, its 87 horses come at a high 6000 rpm; the diesel gives 75 horses at 4000 rpm only. I must caution everyone with a diesel Swift that some Maruti workshops are not yet conversant with its maintenance. Especially, one has to personally ensure that they are using the right engine oil.
