Ouch!!! Never saw so much hatred towards S5. Look around you, do some google, see the pictures taken by amateurs, not pros, and you will know why S5 is why best camera in its area. I agree that wide angle zoom and 18x is definitely a plus. But the I failed to find 'magic' in FZ18 pics. May be I was looking at the wrong place. Let me know if you find something.

Adobe Photoshop CS and CS2 have a feature called 'Photo Merge' It works so well that I took normal pictures by just rotatign myself in all directions, and it stichted all the images in a perfect panorama.
