I think HDFC's slogan 'Sar uthake jiyo' is created by thinking there agents and employees rather there customers :-)
Yes this is a legalized cheating, however I was surprised as I experienced it first time. I have isurance & ulip policies from Birla, Reliance, LIC, UTI... They never charged more than 3 % or so.
