Beware Joyjeet. This is the starting for a big loss. Reader's Digest is a good magazine. I renewed my subscription 2 yrs before. The problem is with their marketing. I bought few good books. The AMC ( Annual Maintenance Contract) cost for this product is around Rs.750/- which covers only the Service Charges. It is better to go for ACMC (Annual Comphrehensive Maintenance Contract) which covers both Service and all spares including the membrane. This is around Rs. 3000/-.

I lost only two month's premium, which I paid by mistake debited thru' my credit card. I fought and got reversed the whole premium debitted on my card less two month's premium, the delay for booking my cancellation. They also reversed full service charges. I was also cheated in the same manner. For me also the call was from Delhi informing that I am one of their privilaged customer due my credit rating ( I hold an ICICI Cr card and pay full amount always). and talked about Medical insurance.
