I have 2 experiences with indiaplaza. The first one was for an inexpensive product which was bought online and delivered to my house within 3 days. I was impressed at first.
I then bought a mobile phone from them about 10 days before valentines day. I was to gift it to my wife. I went through the online ordering process, got my confermation email and awaited delivery, which they said would take 7-10 days.
I checked my bank account a few days later and saw that the amount was deducted from my credit card.
On the 10th day, with still no package in sight, I emailed their customer support. I received a curt reply saying that there was a mistake with their website at that time, and my order would not be fulfilled!
Apparently they had underpriced the phone which I ordered, and were now not willing to honour the agreement. I have screenshots of the page showing the price. Its the same as a customer agreeing to buy something for a price, taking the product and then sayign that its too expensive, I dont want to buy it!
The best part is that they debit my account for the full amount, and then do not have the courtesy to even inform me of the cancellation of the order. If I had not sent the email, they probably woudl not have bothered to refund my money and jsut sat silent!
Terrible, unethical service. The only reason they can get away with it is because our consumer rights court in India still has some ways to go before it can match the pro-consumer justice abroad.
