The phone having so many issues within a month of purchase should point to the build quality and general mfg standards of SE phones To top it all the LED lights at the bottom of the screen cause a serious discoloration of the display on a white screen I got rid of the phone anyways
Update: I got the handset back from SE and you know what its in even worse shape than earlier - battery doesn't even last 4 hours - all the ealier reported issues still persist with loads of new scratches and dents on the body ONCE AGAIN DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING SONY ERICSSON in india really h read more...

Boss you cannot upgrade the firmware on this the best u can do it do a rooting on it and be able to tether internet SE will only release 2.1 eclair some time later this year 2.2 froyo you can forget it also there is no multitouch on it its a pathetic excuse of an handset for a much lesse read more...
