Beware of SX4 buddy. It is not a good car if you talk about driving pleasure. Engine specs are too poor. You get good power and torque but at a very high RPM which reflects poor engineering. This time Maruti has used heavier body which is a plus point but then they could not control mileage. interio Read More...

I totally agree with you and I do not compare these two. I started my search with saloon but when I drove scorpio, I found it to be a different experience. Its grace and driving pleasure are great. Of course Verna is more smooth and will beat scorpio in speed hands down but in city traffic Verna has Read More...
Actually they are coming up with the new Eagle engine (2200 cc), it will be a completely new SUV in look and feel and will run on 145 horses. They will rectify the current design problem of height and will also provide airbags and ABS. It is expected in March but they are planning to price it near t Read More...
Hi SUB_BOSS, thanks for the appreciation. I do agree that air bag is an essential safety feature but it has been launched recently in expensive machines (except sx4). I really do not expect it in 7.5 lakh for such big vehicle. Mahindra should definitely provide this as an optional feature for extra Read More...

Hi Blackspawner, just have a look at http://fordindia.blogspot.com/ and read out Ford fida limited edition petrol version and let me know its comparison with verna xi. This limited edition seems 30k cheaper than verna xi, this could be a good deal (except the fact that fords are infamous for exp Read More...
Yes Blackspawner, I had it from Nimbus. He brought diesel version only and was trying to sell only diesel version so I got skeptical about the petrol one. Now things are more clear, thanks a ton, I will test drive petrol verna now. Festival time is also near, may be they extend good offers, so i Read More...
Hi Blackspawner, thanks for the quick and elaborative response. I will now go for petrol verna instead of sx4. I was really not too happy after driving sx4. This response was insightful. Hi Blackspawner, thanks for the response. My requirement is just a petrol saloon with good performance and low cost of maintenence. hi blackspawner, what are your views on new aveo1.4 as compared to petrol verna and sx4? Hi Hemant, please dont mention the trivial points, all the kids know this. Aveo 1.4 with 94 BHP is very good enough. Compare base Aveo with base SX4. Base Aveo on road Delhi is 5.78 lakh whereas base SX4 is 6.63, this is a massive difference keepig in mind the posh interiors of Aveo which has provid Read More...

HI Blackspawner, How is the old version of Elantra. I have heard that is selling for 7.5 after all discounts. Is it worth purchasing that. Is there any known problem in Elantra due to which Hyundai is replacing that?
What I mean to say is that we Indian do not want to break the mental blocks, we set standards once and for ever, be it Maruti/Bajaj/Nokia/Government Service.... we consider them the best without any competition. I respect Maruti for great customer service but that does not make SX4 a gr8 car. It lac Read More...
Of course cost of maintenance is low as Maruti is using cheap material. Maruti has already a failed in C segment despite all the hyped cheap and friendly services.
