Dude your query is very generic in nature like what you mean be being successful and moreover there is no fixed formula abt how much attention needs to be given, evaluate yourself know your strength and weakness and then customize your studies according to your need.

Agreed that it depends on the quality of time a student spends, but what if you need help in certain topics and the person offering the help(Coaching institute) is not competent enough.
