I would not even like to pay the 'nominal' fee to get it converted into life time free! Simply beacuse there are other banks who don't charge even the nominal fee.. And yes, I did get about 15 calls on my mobile requesting me to pay Rs. 3500.00 so that they could make it free for life. There is nothing new in this. The banks just do not want to say bye to their customers. I have had the same experience with ICICI Bank and HSBC. In the case of HSBC, I use to cut the card and send it to them. But they use to send a new one. This happened 14 times in one year!! Finally after a year read more...

No Ankit. I was not at all in a hurry. As I have already informed that after the upgrade, I started facing the same problem again.
