Update on 44,000km - The car is running well after changing clutch plate & gear synchronizer together which costed around 9000. No problem yet in last 10,000 km after the repair. recently done the Delhi - Munsiyari trip driving almost 750kms on hills.

Your friend is lucky that he has faced the problem at around 80k km. For me it has come at 26k km. Then re-appeared at 32k km. Now waiting for parts for the repair work.

Hi borntowin111, Does crankshaft has any relation with engine volume? It is to convert the reciprocating motion to a circular one.
Hi kbonkur, Chevy Enjoy and Ertiga has the same 1248cc engine from FIAT. Enjoy has got less power and torque fitted with a FGT whereas Ertiga has got more power and torque fitted with a VGT. This is happening with many Maruti customers. Most of the Maruti dealers have no ethics and surprisingly Maruti Suzuki don't take any action against them. We customers should be more careful to avoid such kind of situations. May be we can force the dealer to give in writing on a letter head about th read more...

If you opt for extended warranty then you will get warranty up to 60K km. This is a standard warranty for all Maruti car ..... nothing special for Ertiga. This same Engine is being used in GM Enjoy also .... with a reduced peak power & torque ...... so I don't think the power and Engine life will b read more...
