It is mandatory to stay seated until the aircraft has come to a complete stop, what the air hostess did was right, your boss should have known better, when you pay for the flight you pay to reach from A to B and don't know the airlines

To be fair to the airline, it was a non-refundable ticket and you had agreed to the terms and conditions. You were not complaining when you got a low priced ticket

I agree with Prax1894, as long as you have made the payment and have a valid ticket and Photo Id they should not create a fuss. Many elders in India still do not know how to book online or use credit card, in many cases these tickets are booked by their children who could be based in another city read more...
