I agree Lata is a shadow of a nightingale she was..but this review bypasses her unparalleled achievements and only talks about her at her worst. Not a balanced review at all. And yes, I do think that at her peak none of the women you mentioned could hold a candle to Lata.

whenever I see him play. His talent is, IMHO, unparalleled and he executes it with breathtaking grace. I watched him at the top of his game when he destroyed Roddick at the Wimbledon semis last year and have become his devotee since.

I would rate Asha above Chitra (Chitra is very good but her voice is too thin, her higher octaves are unbearable and her range is more limited imho. Your music reviews are excellent and technically very sound unlike most superficial reviews I come across on MS or even on the so called Bolly sites. Personally, I heartily agree with your opinion on the Lakshya album. I did not quite enjoy it at first but it grew on me with subsequent hearings.

Nice review ..though sometimes I feel Madhuri has done gross injustice to her talent by acting in mediocre movies for the most part of her career. Her only fault, if any, was that she was too commercial minded an actress. But let me not gripe too much, I enjoyed watching her nonetheless! :-)

'practices' before Kajol (ok, dont get me started on that!) was moving; but I think Kajol's brilliant performance contributed more to it. All this was no reflection on your review, however, which I found nothing short of brilliant! I rest my case. -Vishal.
