<b><i>''You dont stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing!!''</b></i>
I firmly believe that life is a huge Game and the only way you can come out laughing, is if you...well... laughed during the game.
<b><i>''There are no Rewards, no Punishments.. Only Consequences!!''</b> </i>
Why move around life with a frown and then blame the whole world for your troubles??? Accept the consequences for your own actions.
<b><i> ''Life has its own beauty. The sunrise and sunset, the crashing waves, the pouring rain, the rivers and mountains and valleys!!''</b></i>
They remind me that divinity is here and now. Why do we always struggle to reach out when we have all we need right here and right now?? Sigh.. I'm looking for the answers!!!
<b><i>''Organised Religion takes itself too seriously!!''</b></i>
Much of the trouble in the world today can be traced to the ridiculous concept that a child born from one womb is different somehow from one born from another. Why do we insist on pigeon holing everybody into neat slots - Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain etc etc.. Just BE, and life would be so much simpler.
This site helps me to express myself. Unlike many prolific writers here (whom I truly admire), I find it difficult to write a review unless the subject truly moves me.. Its like an itch I cannot scratch. A feeling that will not go away. An idea that refuses to lie down, eventually bursting through me to you. Does this feel familiar? Believe you me, I would love to be able to crank out top of the line, awesome reviews the way some of my dear friends do.. But I hope you guys will bear with me, and continue to encourage my random thoughts by reading/rating and commenting on my intermittent efforts.
BTW:Thats me with my tiny nephew (enjoying the ride), wondering what half/fully naked sadhus were doing at the Kumbh Mela, Nasik, Maharashtra, India (besides smoking copious amounts of POT). The kumbh is another event which I think deserves a review... Man its been so long since I've written a review that inertia seems to have set in..Sigh!! But look out for some reviews from yours truly soon..
Cheers and Peace. <b><i>Music, Nature, Books and Space..These 4 things are enough for me...</b></i>
I'm learning to play the guitar. I used to play the drums and sing in a band in college. Current fav music would be, Indian Ocean, One Giant Leap, Norah Jones, Shankar Mahadevan, and all time greats like Floyd, U2, Nirvana, Live, Seal, Sting, RDBurman, Jagjit Singh, Abida Parveen...etc
<b><i>''Life is Like a Book, and those who don't travel read only a Page!!''</b></i>. I want to learn/see more about this fascinating world we live in. Was in Orissa last year. Did a whirlwind tour of Himachal in June. WOW!! Will be writing a series on the same pretty soon. Got me a Royal Enfield Bullet (std 500 cc) in December and am on the road seriously. Heh heh.. Got a whole list of places I wanna explore in the coming year. vis: Kaziranga National Park, Leh & Ladakh (Khardung-La), Mansarover, Tibet. Ambitious eh ;-)
