Nice review. The film is painfully slow. And though the poetry might be top-notch, it hardly makes watching the film easy, especially for those who do not understand the language that well. However, much of the dialogues are actually in English!

Awesome review! I must admit that I am not a fan of jane Austen; I have only read her in school as her books like Pride & Prejudice and Emma constituted mandatory reading. I made a complete fool of myself watching this movie at a multiplex. This utter bakwaas of a movie is one of the worst films I have seen in the theaters, ever! Cool review Mr Sen. You have written after a long while. But you should have written more about the intriguing story. I am yet to see the movie, but will definitely catch it the next time it is aired on TV.

I agree with u wholehearedly......... I guess we should call this movie SALAAM-e-EEEKS!! Yuck! What a waste of time, energy and resources..... It is pointless going through such torture.

Wish I could see this film which promises to be interesting as per your review. I don't know whether it is ever going to get a mainstream release in Kolkata, normally films like these don't. However, even if it makes it to the VCD/DVD circuit, I'll be eager to catch it.

As the entire nation is going hoo-ha over 'Gandhigiri' as made famous by the movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai, I was lucky to watch this quaint movie that truly makes us remember Gandhi with a lot of warmth. It screams for attention! Thanx Mr Sen for reviewing the film.

I think RDB is one of the best films to be made in Hindi. It is indeed THE BEST FILM of 2006. It has made all of us proud.
