hi sidz, thanks. ya i sound like am really promoting this film :) i think it stems from the fact that i think a lot of people wont get the fact that the film is actually a spoof, though a good-natured one, on bollywood. thanks again, ciao
Javeed: sure, that would be sad. looks like you did not appreciate the film though.
thanks so much for the rrc jitendra
Thanks Jitendra. :)
PS: the cast performance is rated 5 for the incredible hamming by all the lead actors.

currently reading the book - girl with the dragon tattoo ie - really liking it too. had no idea it was madeinto a film. so relieved to see the film is well made and not a botch up of the book.willdefinitely catch it.
hi - saw the film a while ago. i liked it but honestly could not wrap my head around the father-son relationship - in general i have lots of opinions on being a permissive parent. i would rather the pushy parenting of indians not that i condone it but i see it as infinitely better to the barely ther read more...
true, it is the emotion that stands out in a good, memorable scene. - have loved all those scenes you mentioned too. hi i was sort of enjoying the film but when the film wrapped up, i suddenly felt like - 'what was that?' it did not register - this film. how absurd is it to say that u want to see a 'normal' character? the whole strength of this film came from the fact that we got an insight into the lives of those who are different from most of us. really liked your insight on the film
small things that added up - there was something forced like an exhortation to feel a certain way (melodramatic). awful background music and the obama look-alike......stuff like that lost the flow of the film
this is one of those films i dont want to criticise - it is so well-intentioned! it just did not work for me.
see now tha's the sort of review we want to read. keep writing :) Dev D is so deserving of all the praise heaped on it - definitely one of my favourite films. Abhay Deol has this amazing self-deprecatory charm - noone does it the way he can. And like you said Mahi Gill's portrayal of paro redefine read more...
hi sandy :) thot u wud prefer an alias like babukabab. thanks for the fulsome praise!
