Don't blame Metlife. Blame yourself for not understanding the product (ULIP) before buying. You would have been fleeced similarly had you gone for a ULIP from any other insurance company as well!

What do you mean by ''Insurance Certificate''? Do you mean the Insurance policy document? If yes, you must have lost it. Its the first thing that is couriered to your address once your policy is approved.

Such feedback is very precious. Its a lot to ask of people who have lost some near and dear one, to post such feedback on the net. But I congratulate you on doing this. It will help others make their decision on Metlife. I feel glad I have a Metlife policy.

I disagree with your opinion. I got my Metlife online insurance policy within 15 days of paying premium. The whole process - pay premium, submit documents to their person, do medical tests at a hospital of my choice was totally hasselfree!!

ULIPs don’t gobble up your principal! If you mathematically compare the returns from ULIPs and MFs over a period of 20 years ULIPs fare better.
