This is probably one rare incident in KSRTC's volvo history which should not have happened. Hi neeraj, The gear shift is as suggested by MSIL in the owner’s manual. Pl go through it before commenting.
Hi alok, I own an Lxi and regret not going for Vxi. I dont have this problem with the accelerator. My driving is pretty conservative(bangalore city) and with a gear change( 3rd at 30km, 4th at 40km, 5th at 50km), i am getting a constant mileage of 16.75-17.5km/l after 2nd service without ac. With a read more...

Mr.Nihal, You are comparing the mileage of a petrol and a diesel car!!...If you wanted only the exteriors, you should have had one good look at the car before buying. The interiors of swift also are bad, aren't people buying it left right and centre? You should have had your options clear. Spark an read more...
Dear Nihal Its true that this car will not win any beauty contests, but its the best for city driving. At 6000km, i have got an FE of 17.6km/l in Bangalore city without ac, measured by tankfull to tankfull method just yesterday!! Filled 29.7lt and have got 525km for the last fill. It has oodles of read more...

Dear Mr.Dhaval, Please sit in the rear seat of a swift or i10 for an hour or two. When the hamstrings start aching due to the low seating was when i realised the space of a wagon-r. Its not just the head room. It may not be suited for highway driving, but quite comfortable in a city. It is for peo read more...

Dear Mr.Dhaval, You cannot compare wagon-r and Getz. Getz has been replaced by the i20 if i am not mistaken. It is 2-3 lakhs more expensive, thus has better power, interiors and looks. Practically, wagon-r scores higher for city handling. Getz moreover has poor mileage. It depends on the individual read more...
If wagon-r has inadequate space and wheelbase, then please suggest a different hatchback with a better space in the same range( if at all there is one!)... The leg space is the best in the segment. Even if u buy a premium hatchback like swift, you wont get a better leg space:-). The new wagon-r has read more...

A-star has awfully less space at the rear. Its alright for a family of two. Mileage is decent. But has good looks.Otherwise, its a good bargain. The new Wagon-r has better exteriors and interiors than the old one. It has oodles of space and is very comfortable. Mileage is great, i am getting 16-16.5 read more...
Yes indeed, the 2010 model is great. Better looks, good pick up, great comfort esp the rear seats, amazing space, and the best part is the FE. After 5000km, i am getting 16-16.25km/l in Bangalore city traffic without ac.. MSIL has done a wonderful job in creating the new blue eyed boy..

Hi, The exteriors of the new wagon r are much better than the old one. It doesnt have the boxy look and the body roll-over is much lesser, has a good streamlining with better curves( the body height is greater at the rear and slopes down at the front if you have noticed). Thus, both the exteriors a read more...

There is a lot of mismatch between the claimed FE of i10 and the actual values seen on road as reported by so many consumers. Maruti cars stand way ahead of hyundai cars in terms of FE though the latter may be more appealing to look at to many people.
Exactly..Its a very good city car. You cannot compare Wagon r with swift which has 1200cc engine and with a wider body. If you drive swift for sometime, your knee starts hurting and the rear passengers also feel the brunt. But Wagon-r doesnt have this problem. Its a good car for that segment.

Dont you think that AltoK10 is a bit overpriced?(3.8 lacs for Vxi). Yes, the engine and the mileage is impressive, but the interiors and the looks are almost similar to the 800cc alto which could have been improved. But yes, a much better option than the i10 s and 20s--Hyundai is looting Indian cust read more...

Thanks for the review. What's the mileage you are getting in city with and without a/c? I am getting 14-15km/l in Bangalore city with heavy traffic. On highway, i am getting 18-19km/l.

Dear Mr.Shak, I agree with you that it is underpowered when compared to swift or i10 1.2 engine, but you cant compare it with 800...And my vehicle has completed just 3000km and i am getting 14.75 to 15.5km/lt in Bangalore city with bumper to bumper traffic(intermittent ac) always measured with tank read more...
