Surprised to read this. The petrol has lower pickup but diesel was awesome. I had test driven with full AC on. Guess the gear was incorrect. I sometimes face that problem when I am driving at low speeds in 3rd gear in my manza petrol. But shift to lower gear and the car vroooms!!

@Gegon - Had done multiple test drives each - both diesel and petrol versions. Mainly doing another test drive for Dzire was because I felt AC was not cooling well - and thought it shd be one off issue. The second car had better AC. BTW - I have Aura ABS version - recommendation for others, make sure that you do not buy car without ABS - the braking is smooth, no slippage even in rains - was driving at 120kmph the other day, and had to brake due to accident - absolutely no issues.
Excellent review - Guess I will follow the same practice. Own Manza saffire as my driving is very less - only on weekends. But have enjoyed the drive till now. Obviously an lie. First - there is no way to book a vacation on site - hence you have to go through customer care, which is a torture anyway. And no one pays for pickup - its not in contract anyway - so its all an advertising gimmick

Going for base model is never good. Sooner or later you will desire higher features.
