Now, what’s new? Samsung doesn’t have any dedicated service personnel or permanent service center franchise. They keep changing and I have to tell the new members about the entire history of my air conditioner and its problems I have been facing for the last 9 years again and again. The newly appointed authorised franchise M/s. Smart Technologies attended to my problem without any solutions. You will be surprised to know that it is the customers who would have to call back the company to know about any details with regard to repair work undertaken or when would the unit be serviced and return back, etc, etc. The company will not and will never revert back to the customers, especially in case where the problem in defective units could not be solved.


Before M/s. Smart Technologies was appointed as service center, M/s. Rasi Vision was looking into my problem. Frequent repair works undertaken; repeatedly the indoor unit would be dismounted and mounted again on the wall with no positive result except causing excessive damage to the wall.


During the month of November 2007, Mr. Sundarajan from M/s. Rasi Vision had assured me that he will rectify the problem and did overhauling of the indoor unit. He has even charged Rs.300 for gas refilling for which the company has not issued any cash receipt or bill for the same. It was functioning properly for a few weeks but again the water leakage problem crept in. When I called up Mr.Sundarajan for follow-up action, he said that he was no more with Samsung. I had to call up again Mr. Ravi from M/s. Rasi Vision. Not withstanding anymore, I requested him to replace the water tray for which I was ready to pay for the same. Mr.Ravi along with new service personnel Mr.Raj Kumar visited my house for a check-up. After looking at the unit, Mr.Raj Kumar has said that since this unit was of good quality; he would do everything to see that the unit was working properly and hence requested me not to replace the water tray. I had denied that it was of a good quality, as for the past 9 years, water leakage could not be arrested. I told them that I had enough of Samsung, its products and its services. But only after Mr.Ravi and Mr.Raj Kumar’s assurance, I thought of giving a last chance (but it was my mistake that I have been giving them chances for the last 9 years).


During March 2008, the unit (both indoor as well as outdoor) was taken to service center for complete servicing. After necessary work undertaken, the unit was mounted back but with more water leakage. You would be surprised to know that during this month, Mr. Raj Kumar has charged Rs.1470 (for Coil Cleaner, Paste, Foam, Service Charge & Gas Refilling) but the company or the service center has not issued any cash receipt or bill for the same. Moreover, once when the unit was taken for servicing at the service centre (to arrest water leakage), the motor (rotating) in the indoor unit was damaged and heavy noise was produced when the air-conditioner was switched on. Mr.Raj Kumar replaced the motor with another used unit (seconds). So, you can see that, apart from looking into the actual problem, these people can damage your unit (both external as well as internal damage) and also cause excessive body damage.


During the month of June 2008, when I had again contacted Mr.Raj Kumar for follow-up action, he said that he had left the company. I have asked him now what shall I do? You would be surprised to know that he has asked me to file a suit against Samsung saying that the company is bound to keep the parts for all the models that are manufactured and sold in the market. And if the company is not having any spare parts, it is bound to replace the unit by recalling the defective unit. There are many other facts which he had said about Samsung and I can provide the voice recorded messages for legal purpose which supports the kind of trauma and mental agony I have gone through for the past 9 years.


And when I had again contacted Mr.Ravi of M/s. Rasi Vision, he said that they are no more with Samsung and he had given the contact details of M/s. Smart Technologies, the newly appointed service center for Samsung.
