Set the idling to a lower RPM by simply unscrewing the golden screw thats under the carb. All should be fine. My bike had the same problem, you can reset the idling to about 800 RPM and be fine. This is one of the finest bikes available in India, especially for touring. My Bird is not being used read more...

For me the biggest problem areas with Hero Honda are: 1. Horrendous service... It was such a HARROWING experience to even test ride the bike! 2.
