1. Use a good oil, never use SERVO. Castrol 20w-50 will make engine smoother. 2. Add about 100Ml than specified (top up till top of the sight glass. 3. Adjust the clutch free play 1cm max as Anand suggests. and let us know the results.

Exactly, In fact i am mad and dead against of what BAJAJ is doing. On the other hand, look at Jap models.... They still maintain XL, CD, DT, GN, GS, C, (name it) markets even after 20 yrs. Value is going up day by day. I will never buy damn BAJAJ again.

Good revirew. Totally agree with wt u said on Bajaj. They lack consistency, Eg : Discover, first they launch spoke model, then alloy version, and then same with dfnt muffler. They cant do the right thing on the first time.

I too owe a Discover and its a great bike in all most all the parameters. I have done more than 10,000km and it make me happy. except for BAJAJ company who let down this.

Thanks Anand, Car is good and Fuel running and maintenance cost was a major decision factor for me. Its good in performance but poor space arrangement and seating comfort are major drawbacks. Recommend for a medium built person with a one small family and short legs. :)

I bought Maruti Alto. (and made a review too). I intend to sell the bike when it is still in good running condition. Yes, Discover was a famous model, however soon Platina will take that place.

Platina has 100CC KTech engine while Discover has an 125CC DTSi engine. But look the outlook and features it has. It even has disc brakes. and It looks like a 125CC. I faced a similar situ, here in Colombo. For them its another irritating, routine job. But for us hard earned money and a brand new car, which we want to maintain in that way. for you, yes, you can take it up with Maruti since you are in India, but for us....????

I do not buy because they let 125cc down, and it is personal. It doesnt mean you should not buy BAJAJ for the same reason. BAJAJ not performing well in 100cc range. So they will do any damn cheap thing to change it, and virtually kill DISCOVER to give birth to PLATINA. She has Disc Brakes even. read more...

Pure Bad luck or you may have not being good to your Maruti. Me, I am happy with My ALTO. Performance good, manoeuvrability good, fuel efficiency great. A/C cool are my experiences for last 3 months of usage.
