did not face any issue mentioned by you - Depends how you change the gear, it has slipper clutch, so do not hold the lever full. fuel gauge is an issue, acceptable. Pillion rider, add new back rest, pillion is safe. it has lot of power so pillion gets pushed back.

I faced the same problem and replaced unit is not working as well. I believe it is day light robbery by Siemens. They send lousy technicians and with no proper tools and charge high prices of service. we spent Rs. 9000 and still struggling. I bought new Innova V in Nov 2013. It is a great vehicle. I do city and Highway both. Travelled to Orissa and back from Bangalore. Car performs very well, I have driven it max 160 on a free streatch and it is stable, As all TATA engines have slower revolution the issue with 2nd gear power will be there, if resolved the mileage will go down.
