I tried to figure out why is it that I am getting such good average. I went back to a conversation I had with the engineer at Adarsh Yamaha who said that it's probably because of my riding style that I am getting such good average. Well, what I did as a result this time is to change that style of riding and using a lot of pick up in every gear - taking the RPM to 6000 every time, and reaching speeds of up to 90kms/hr.
I filled in 5.91 lts of petrol, after having traveled exactly 300 kms from the last refill. That works out to 50.93kms/ltr.
So - yeah, I DID get less average due to using a high pick up on the vehicle. But hey! 50kms/lt is good - DAMN GOOD .... so am happy :-)
Engine noise seems to be reducing. It used to come up at 70 when I used to take it to a max of 70. Then when I started taking it to 80, the engine noise was less at 70, but showed up at 80. Now while I am trying to reach 90kms/hr, the engine noise at 80 has lessened :-)
The rear shocker DOES seem to be a little on the hard side and makes riding on bumpy roads not such a great experience.
A combination of rear as well as front brakes work out to be fantastic. Have not skidded yet :--)
Lights are good - as long as you are using both lights (at high beam).
See ya later
