Really i too had similar doubt raised at fuel station like nahi sir Diesel car lag nahi rahi na, awwaz bhi nahi aa rahi is liye pooch raha tha. The real success of this car is this.

Really u have to check the Swift is not offering multi-jet engine. Actually TATA indica Vista Quadrajet and Swift Diesel variants using the same engine sourced from fiat. Only exemption is the gear box and gear ratio. TATA uses fiat C510 gear box where as swift uses suzuki gear box. The so called di read more...

The maximum speed is limited by gear box design is 83 kmph. You can refer the manual comes along with the bike. i expect fifth gear can be added which will increase speed and milage in high ways
