You can approach the banking ombudsman through the RBI website. Submit your written complaint againt this malpractice and they will come begging to have the matter settled.

You can have this issue sorted out , just log onto www.rbi.org.in and go to the page on The Banking Ombudsman Scheme, 2006. There is a form for making a complaint against the bank. The ombudsman will take up the case with SCB and hopefully it will be sorted out. But before you file a complaint with read more...
