This review is 5 years old, but is the most 'commented on' review. Going by recent experience (last 2 years), Airtel DTH post sales service is most pathetic. They have employed illiterates at their call centers who can't speak any language (leave aside English) properly and any average customer read more...

I had a similar experience and agree with your comments about the action being reactive rather than proactive. Never the less, I am happy that my losses have been recovered and glad to hear that you are about to receive a replacement.
