I am in my early fifties. and originally from Poona, born toa North Indian Mother and a Maharashtrian father. My husband is from North Karnataka and that is how we have now settled in Mysore. We returned from Tanzania in 1998 after spending 23 years there (including 2 years in Eritrea- north of Ethiopia). I have three children, two of which were born in Tanzania and the eldest only one year old when we went there. Thus they have strong affinities for Africa. All of them are now in USA. My eldest and youngest have spent four and three years respectively in India for studies. I am a Botnist and have been a lecturer/Professor in India and Abroad, teaching both Botany and Pharmacognosy- an essential subject for the degree of B.Pharm. This subject deals with Medicinal plants, drugs from there and research in Traditional systems of medicine. At present I am just at home. I had worked for the past one year and nine months in a Pharmacxy college here as a Professor of Pharmacognosy. Needlework, Reading, Music, drawing and painting, cooking
